Opening 2: General Greenhouse Labor Positions

Opening 3: Greenhouse Labor/ Material Handler - Summary: Prepare product for shipment in all stages of plant material development. Under the Agricultural Industry Guidelines, Welby Gardens Wholesale Division is not eligible for overtime pay practices. Wholesale positions therefore will not be paid overtime.

Essential Duties:

Prepares trays for planting.

Fill trays and planters with soil.

Planting and seeding of plants.

Moving plant material to locations in the Greenhouse.

Pulling orders.

Loading carts with plant material for delivery.

Loading trucks for shipment.

Trash removal.

Sterilization and cleaning of greenhouses and offices.

Work inside and outside areas of Greenhouse as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Assists in other areas and locations as needed.

General Requirements:

Ability to work flexible hours and days.

Bi-lingual Spanish and English preferred.

Must have reliable transportation. Willing to work at all of our various locations as needed.

Able to move and/or lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis.

Must be able to push/pull at least 125 pounds.

Must be in good physical condition.

Willing to work under assigned supervision.

Willing to work as part of a team.

Must be able to follow proper chain of command.

Must adhere to all safety rules.

Must abide by all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
