4 1/2 inch Annuals

Asparagus meyeri This is not new to the industry but just a new addition to the Welby line. Foxtail sprengerii fern has leaves that form densely along the stem, making a "tail-like" foliage appearance. It is great as filler in mixed baskets or containers for full sun to shade.

Begonia boliviensis 'Bellfire' "Best of CSU " winner. Beautiful dangling Salmon Pink flowers at the ends of gracefully upright-arching stems with very dark green (almost black) foliage make a stunning plant. 'Bellfire' has a more upright habit than 'Bonfire' and is a little more vigorous. The outstanding performance in all climates, including humid summer heat, makes this a "must-have" plant for the shade garden. It is fabulous in containers and hanging baskets.

Begonia 'Frinzies Cindy Fringed', 'Frinzies Janny Fringed' The fringed flower edge gives these Reiger-type begonias a unique look. Cindy is a pink flowering Begonia and Janny is a salmon with rose tints near the edges of outside petals. Both are fully double flowered and bear lots of beautiful blooms in the full shade. Great for containers.

Begonia 'Solenia Dark Pink', 'Solenia Velvet Red' Last year we added the Solenia series to our line of Reiger Begonias. We were so pleased with the line that decided to not only continue the line this year but add 2 more colors to it, Dark Pink and Velvet Red. All Reiger's should be grown in the shade.

Begonia Non-Stop 'Mocca Mix' Begonia 'Amstel Blitz Yellow' We chose this yellow flowered Reiger Begonia because the color is so intense. We think it is the best yellow out there. All Reiger's should be grown in the shade.

Cordyline 'Red Star' The sword-shaped leaves of ruby red to burgundy, give this versatile plant its handsome looks and a hardy constitution. Year-round color makes Red Star sparkle in landscapes and containers. Cordyline is gaining popularity with people who are looking for splashes of vibrant color, or something a little different for centers of containers. Can reach 3-4 feet tall in part shade.

Dahlia 'Goldalia Scarlet' A "Best of Welby" winner. This dynamic bicolor flower will "wow" your customers. Godalia has a compact growth habit with excellent branching making a full and busy plant. Godalia Scarlet has bright red outer petals with thinner yellow double petals around the golden center. It has very good outdoor performance in beds and containers.

Dahlia 'Mystic Illusion' Mystic Illusion is a real knockout and named the Best New Variety at CSU! The bright yellow flower petals are set off against the flower's nearly black center and the plants dark foliage. Mystic's intriguing contrast of dark foliage and intense flower color makes a powerful statement in the garden. The 8-10 inch tall plants are great in borders or smaller pots. Dahlias prefer part sun.

Osteospermum 'Summertime Blueberry', 'Summertime Sunset' Summertime has been bred for improved heat tolerance, natural branching, and a round mounding habit, plus new exciting colors! 'Summertime Blueberry' displays deep shades of purples and yellows and as the bloom matures it turns to different shades of blue. 'Summertime Sunset' has yellow and/ or soft orange flowers with hints of rose at the base of the petals with purple centers. Summertime exhibits superb garden performance throughout the summer in containers, landscape beds and combination planters.
